Friends - 

I’m disappointed to report we are already receiving warnings about the impending attack ads against Jerri that our opponent and his party are about to unleash.

These baseless ads and outrageous mailers, as they have been described, will play on the fears of our community, and attempt to smear Jerri’s name.

We’ve heard that these ads are coming because our opponent believes Jerri would stoop so low as to use his history against him. It is clear he does not know the Jerri I know. The Jerri I know has spent the better part of her career fighting for people with criminal histories to not have the worst moment of their lives haunt them for forever. She created a whole website called Work To Break The Cycle to do just that. But more importantly, as an attorney with a 20 year record of fighting for public safety, she deeply understands that there is often more to a story than a salacious headline.  

Jerri is in this race to fight for the issues that matter to families like yours. She wants to increase public safety, improve our infrastructure, and invest in our youth. She wants to bring common sense and compassion back to our government. 

We do want you to judge our opponent's record - just not the one he thinks. He’s a career politician who quits before the job is done. We want you to know that he missed most meetings where important policies were decided upon when he was on the School Board. We want you to know that he quit early when he was on the city council and quit when he oversaw a local nonprofit. District 2 needs a fighter, not a quitter.

Make no mistake, this is going to be a close race. Jerri’s opponent and his allies will pour thousands of dollars into negative attack ads. But that’s okay, because you and I know they are just distractions from his record, and I am talking about the one that really matters.

This is why your early support is so critical to creating a solid campaign foundation where we can invest in: 

• Getting folks out to vote; 

• Scaling up organizing efforts across the district; 

• Countering misleading attacks; 

• And more 

While we’ve seen some incredible momentum since our campaign launched, our work is not done yet. We’re counting on every single dollar to keep building on the campaign’s success and make an impact as we look forward to November.
